The Day Trip to the Peace Pagoda offers you an opportunity to experience Nepali countryside lifestyle as well as panoramic mountain views from a lower altitude and a gorgeous view over the lake of Pokhara.
We start with a boat trip to the other side of the lake of Pokhara. From there we start climbing up to the World Peace Stuba. The small trail goes through lush green forests with, depending on the season, a wide varity of wild life and flowers along the way.
While climbing up you are continuously rewarded with constantly changing views over Pokhara, the Lake and the Anapurna Mountain Range in the background. The most stunning view is of World Peace Pagoda at the top.
Experience: This day trip is suitable for all levels hikers.
Departure: Usually we start at 8.00 in the morning but this tour can be customized depending on your wishes. If you like to see the sunrise we need to start in winter at 5:30 am and in summer at 4:15 am.
Meeting place: Boat dock at the Pokhara Lake but a transfer from your hotel / resort can also be arranged.
Total Time: We will need minimum 4 hours for this trip. Depending on our hiking pace, the amount of stops as well as the time spend at the Pagoda itself, the trip could take up to 5 hours.
What do you need? We advise to wear shoes for this hike to prevent any injuries. We also advise to bring water, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellant. Depending on the season a rain coat might come in handy as well.
